Training aims 

An invoice is a general accounting document that proves a purchase or a sale. An invoice attests to the claim of a creditor towards a debtor, in other words the debt of a customer towards a supplier. Establishing and issuing an invoice implies compliance with certain legal obligations, particularly in terms of VAT. 


This training will allow you to:

  • List the mandatory information to be affixed to an invoice

  • Master the rules applicable to VAT invoices

  • Master the obligations in terms of keeping duplicate invoices

Training content

During the training, you will discover the methods and tools to work effectively on the following topics:  

Module 1 - Define the cases for which an invoice must be issued


Module 2 - Mastering the formalism of invoices

  • Identify the mandatory information to include on an invoice:

  • Indicate the terms and conditions of payment

  • Master special cases: corrective invoices, deposit invoices and invoices in a foreign language


Module 3 - Mastering the VAT rules applicable to invoicing

  • Charge VAT ​​

  • Invoice without VAT

Module 4 - Master the rules for keeping invoices

  • Archive invoices

  • Know the minimum retention periods

  • Know the different storage media

Module 5 - Measuring penalties for breaches of billing rules

  • Billing default

  • Omission or inaccuracy in invoices
